Hide

Hide is a British restaurant at 85 Piccadilly in Mayfair, London, set over several floors with a fine-dining room called Above.

Chef Ollie Dabbous opened it in April 2018, after closing his small Michelin-starred restaurant Dabbous in Fitzrovia to give the new project his full attention. His partners were Yevgeny Chichvarkin and Tatiana Fokina of the Mayfair wine shop Hedonism Wines, which supplies the vast drinks list, and the cocktail maker Oskar Kinberg. Hide won its Michelin star within five months, with Luke Selby, a Roux Scholarship winner, leading the kitchen of Above. Dabbous handed the restaurant over in 2025 to Josh Angus, who had trained at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, cooked with him at Dabbous and worked at Hide from its first day, and who became its chef director; Selby by then had moved on to run the kitchen of Le Manoir.

The building holds two restaurants and a bar. Above serves tasting menus and a set lunch, Ground runs an all-day menu from breakfast to late evening, and Below is a cellar bar with snacks. Two kitchens were built from scratch, and a bakery in the house makes the bread. A curving staircase of hand-carved wood, its rail modeled on tree roots, joins the floors.

Small producers set the menus. Herdwick lamb has come with smoked cockles, baked turnip and a nasturtium dressing, and Porthilly oysters with caviar. Pale Scandinavian timber and soft curves give the rooms a warm, hearth-like look, and the wine list draws on the stock of Hedonism Wines, whose owner Chichvarkin remains a co-owner of Hide.
